Behin Ha Design Studio was founded in 2009 in Jersey City, New Jersey, USA, by Ann Ha and Behrang Behin. The studio focuses on meaningful and creative interventions in the built environment. Its award-winning public art projects are regarded as a freer mode of practice, allowing for the exploration of new materials, concepts, and forms on a smaller scale and shorter timeframe while engaging directly with the public. The studio's projects are located throughout the New York metropolitan area—including Jersey City, Manhattan, and Brooklyn—as well as in Ohio, Illinois, France, and Denmark.

Principal Behrang Behin is trained as both an architect and an engineer, possessing extensive professional experience in both fields. In 2008, he received a Master in Architecture with Distinction from the Harvard Graduate School of Design (GSD), subsequently continuing as an Aga Khan Fellow to research the intersection of technology, architecture, and sustainable urbanism. His professional experience includes work on large-scale institutional, cultural, and mixed-use projects at Snøhetta, REX, and Ennead Architects. While at the GSD, Behrang received several awards, including the James Templeton Kelley Prize, the AIA Henry Adams Medal, and the Peter Rice Engineering & Architecture Achievement Award. Behrang has lectured, exhibited work, participated in panel discussions, and reviewed student work at design and architecture schools and associations, including the Center for Architecture (New York City), Harvard GSD, the University of Toronto, the University of Michigan, Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), Pratt Institute, NJIT, and NYIT. He also holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from U.C. Berkeley and a Bachelor of Science in Applied Physics from Yale University. Behrang is a licensed architect in New York and New Jersey.

Principal Ann Ha, trained as an architect, is dedicated to an interdisciplinary design approach. She received a Master in Architecture from the Harvard Graduate School of Design in 2008 and holds a Bachelor of Design in Architecture from the University of Florida. Ann's extensive experience across residential, commercial, hospitality, and institutional architecture has been instrumental in realizing Behin Ha's projects. Prior to co-founding Behin Ha, her professional experience included positions at firms recognized for their simple, modern, and well-executed architecture, including Jeff Jordan Architects, Rogers Partners, Single Speed Design, and Maryann Thompson Architects. Ann was nominated for the GSD's James Templeton Kelley Prize and was a finalist for the 2014 Rotch Traveling Scholarship.
