Xie Aige (b.1977, China) graduated from the Ceramic Design Department of Shanghai University's Academy of Fine Arts.

Xie Aige was born in Changsha, Hunan. The mountains and rivers of the place generated her longing for a character that is pure and free, which became the central idea of her artistic creation afterwards. As a contemporary young female artist, the images in her works are mostly influenced by the protagonists in paintings of Modigliani and the comic of Jimmy (Jimi). The overall appearance of a gentle and quiet Chinese femininity is presented in a soft and sentimental manner, with a linear shape of simplicity and roundness. Her figures also delicately present the spiritual essence of female, by removing the shackles and return to nature, as to pursue the unique temperament in Chinese philosophy.

Notable solo exhibitions include "Quiet Energy Produces Wisdom", Times Art Xiamen, China, 2018; "Small World", The Gallery, Shanghai, China, 2015; "Tree Top Memories", ODE TO ART CONTEMPORARY, Singapore, 2014; "Fairy Tale", The Gallery, Shanghai, China, 2014; "Habitat Heart", Tangram Art Center, Shanghai, China, 2009; "Happy Land", Shanghai Sculpture Art Center, Shanghai, China, 2008; "A Peaceful Nature", Shanghai Duolun Museum of Modern Art, Shanghai, China, 2007 and etc. Her works are collected by Kohler Corporation (USA), Shanghai Park Hyatt hotel (China), Beijing Capital Airport (China), Shanghai World Financial Center (China), Shanghai Duolun Museum of Modern Art (China), Shanghai Mingyuan Art Center (China), Hongji Group (China) and others.
